Lupin Sansei: Columbus no Isan wa Akenisomaru

The ship’s log from Christopher Colombus’ famous voyage to the New World is the latest high-value target for master thief Lupin the Third. It will be auctioned off at the St. Mary Charity Auction, which will be held on the top floor of Gable Tower, a highly secure high-tech fortress. Of course, such defenses are nothing compared to Lupin and his associates, right? After Treasure of the Sorcerer King, Lupin Sansei: Colombus no Isan wa Ake ni Somaru (“Lupin the Third: The Inheritance of Colombus is Dyed in Vermilion”) is the second PS2 game based on the popular Lupin the Third anime franchise. It is, like its predecessor, a third-person action game with a strong emphasis on stealth and disguises. Lupin can use variousding his trusty P38 pistol, steal items and outfits from enemies, and disguise himself to avoid detection. The player can also take control of Lupin’s teammates at specific points. Fujiko’s sections are similar to Lupin’s, except that instead of stealing disguises, she can charm enemies into giving her information. Jigen’s sections feature on-rail shooting, whereas Goemon’s feature essential sword-slicing action.
