This game is based on the first Mobile Suit Gundam series, and it asks you to pick between two opposing factions in order to choose which one will emerge victorious.
There are many other game modes available to select from, such as a campaign mode and a vs mode. When playing the campaign mode, which has more than 200 different missions to choose from, you have the option of fighting for either the Earth Federation or the Zeon Forces. You can complete these missions by eliminating hostile mechs and accomplishing the mission goals while exploring a 3D environment. If you are able to complete these tasks without fail, you will be able to improve the mobile suits you use and increase the number of different outfits you can bring into combat with you.
You can play against a friend in split-screen versus or team battle action in the versus mode of the game, and you can use the suits that you unlocked in the story mode.
Actors from the television show have also contributed their voices to this game in order to create authentic voiceovers for the Gundam universe.
