Several motocross games such as MTX Mototrax are available for the PS2 and also publisher Phoenix joins in with Moto X Maniac. Unlike most competitor releases it comes as a single player game only and is getting along without any licenses. There are three different game modes to choose from: Tournament, Time Trial and Quick Race. The latter one offers the player any track that has been unlocked during tournament. It's even possible to predefine the number of rounds as well as the one of up to four CPU opponents. In the beginning, three different bikes are available but there are more to unlock during the game.
