In the year 20XX, a space-time distortion known as “Yurigi” has been observed occurring all over the world. Come along with Reiji and Shaomu, members of the Shinra organization, as they investigate the Yurigi distortions and the pathways it generates into the alternative Namco and Capcom universes in an effort to discover the mysteries behind them.
The gameplay is quite standard for an SRPG. On an isometric battlefield, one group of units engages in combat with another group of units that are commanded by artificial intelligence (AI). The combat that takes place between the different troops as they try to kill each other is where the twist comes in. When you reach this point in the game, the perspective changes to a 2D side view, much like in older combat games. The combat between the two troops takes place here through the use of menu commands and button inputs similar to those found in fighting games. There are unique special moves and combos accessible for each playable character, and they are frequently displayed with hand-drawn artwork of the characters.
