NASCAR 08

NASCAR 08 is the twelfth video game in the NASCAR franchise developed and published by EA Sports. EA Tiburon produced it and it was made available for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 platforms. This marks the earliest launch of a NASCAR game ever for Electronic Arts. Moreover, it is the first time since NASCAR 2001 that the original Xbox will not be included in the NASCAR range of games. It is Tony Stewart’s third time appearing on the cover of an EA Sports NASCAR game, and this time it is for the game that bears his name. Juan Pablo Montoya appears on the cover distributed in the PAL area. The current car and the upcoming Car of Tomorrow for NASCAR are featured in the game, even though the Car of Tomorrow is a generic model (no separate manufacturers). The NASCAR coverage that airs on ESPN is also incorporated into the game. Chad Knaus is responsible for recording the chief crew speech for the game’s PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions. The Wheelen Modified Tour is absent from the versions of the game available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. However, it is still playable on the PlayStation 2 version.
