In Need for Speed Underground, players go deep undercover to take down an international crime syndicate by racing around speedways, dodging cops, and chasing rivals while also attempting to take down an international crime syndicate. The game welcomes the return of high-intensity police pursuits and introduces the brand-new ‘Heroic Driving Engine,’ which is a one-of-a-kind piece of technology that delivers extraordinary high-performance moves at speeds of up to 180 miles per hour during breathtaking highway clashes. The rich world of the Tri-City Bay Area is brought to life for players through a combination of computer visuals and live-action movies. The open-world atmosphere of the city comprises over 80 miles of highways, one of which is a massive highway system that serves as the arena for highway conflicts. Players are pushed to their limits during these high-speed and high-stakes chase sequences as they fend off police and other opponents while racing through traffic at speeds of up to 180 miles per hour. An innovative artificial intelligence (AI) mechanic creates a driving experience that is both realistic and action-packed. In Need for Speed Undercover, EA is taking the racing franchise back to its racing game roots by adding more aggressive and smarter police officers whose primary mission is to take down the player as quickly as possible by any means necessary. In addition, Need for Speed Undercover includes the series’ trademark automobile customization options, as well as real-world damage and driving mechanics that are true to life. The game features licensed versions of some of the most desirable automobiles on the market today, like the Audi R8, BMW M6, and Lexus IS-F.
