Nobunaga’s Ambition: Iron Triangle is the latest installment in KOEI’s long-running grand strategy game series. The following assumptions were made during the feudal period: (from the XV to the XVII century). The main game screen displays an overhead 3D-rendered landscape view with buildings and moving armies for each clan. The player issues orders through a menu with a list of commands that branch out with several options: City (to build buildings), Personnel (to hire officers), Military (to move and attack with the army), Strategy, Diplomacy (to negotiate treaties and exchange technology), and others to review the resources. While issuing orders, the game is paused, and they are only executed when in Active mode, where time passes and seasons change. The seasons affect certainc resources and activities, such as harvesting and draftins. The clans’ scheduled actions and rank positions on a separate screen can be viewed anytime. The game includes several scenarios, unique modes, and historical notes that appear when the game time synchronizes with significant events in Japan’s history.
