The fourth installment in the Ratchet & Clank video game series, Ratchet: Deadlocked, was developed by Insomniac Games. The plot of the narrative includes Ratchet and Clank, along with Al, being abducted and forced to compete in an underground reality program known as “DreadZone.” This show is managed by the media magnate Gleeman Vox on the outskirts of the galaxy.
The game is distinct from its predecessors in that it has a greater emphasis on shooting rather than on features of platforming and puzzle solving. The game gives you the option to deploy two bots to fight with you, and during the course of the experience, those bots can be given better equipment and increased damage output. The game only contains a total of ten weapons, which is a substantial reduction from the number of weaponry found in other titles. Modification of these weapons, which can take the form of a variety of Alpha and Omega mods, is, however, given a greater priority than in the past. Omega mods, which include everything from a freeze mod to a magma mod, are compatible with all types of weapons. Alpha mods are unique to each weapon and improve its rate of fire, capacity for additional ammunition, and overall power. Additionally, it supports multiplayer sessions via the internet.
Clank is not a playable character in this game; however, he does communicate with Ratchet through his communication connection and offers Ratchet some advice.
