Serious Sam: Next Encounter

Sam Stone enters a time machine at the beginning of Serious Sam: Next Encounter, which teleports him back to Ancient Rome, where massive groups of Mental’s men are waiting for him. Not only does Sam have to face the legions of his foe, but he also has to contend with the Mini Sam, a malicious entity created by Mental. The plot follows Sam as he travels across three distinct eras of Earth’s past: ancient Rome, ancient China, and long-lost Atlantis. In each of these places, Sam must, as is customary, eliminate the hybrid army commanded by his archenemy and prevent the timeline from becoming corrupted. Sam vanquishes two more of Mental’s timelock guardians as he travels across Rome and China: the colossal beast Diablotaur and the enormous Subterranean Emperor Hydra. Both of these guardians are a part of Mental’s timelock. The final confrontation takes place on board a Sirian mothership, where Sam faces off against the Sirian Dark Lord, the spirit of a mighty Sirian warrior combined with the massive mechanical body of a robot.
