Shin Gouketsuji Ichizoku: Bonnou Kaihou

Shin Goketsuji Ichizoku: Bonnou Kaihou ( ) is the sixth installment in the series and serves as a sequel to Matrimelee. However, similar to Power Instinct Legends, it is not a proper sequel to the main series and, instead, could be considered a port of Matrimelee or an “update” of Matrimelee. This game was released in Japan as Shin Goketsuji Ichizoku: Bonnou Kaihou. Bonnou Kaihou is the first sequel in the series developed solely for a gaming console, in contrast to the other sequels. It was developed by Noise Factory and Excite specifically for the Playstation 2 and was made available for purchase on May 25, 2006. Customers who pre-ordered the game were given a digital calendar, and a bonus CD that included full chorus orchestrated versions of a number of the songs on the game’s soundtrack. Along the same lines as Groove On Fight, it has not been made available anywhere outside Japan.
