The Wachowski Brothers’ film of the same name, which was based on a Japanese cartoon series from the 1960s, inspired the video game Speed Racer. The game’s primary objective is to triumph in the World Racing League Cup competition. This adaptation of the film as a video game concentrates on the racing element of the story, and it is the first third-party game for the Wii to support the use of the Wii Wheel. More than 15 of the personalities from the movie appear as playable drivers in the game, and the vehicles that appeared in the film are available for selection from a menu in the game. The races have reached velocities of over 350 miles per hour at their peak. The race courses include many twists and turns, as well as loops, jumps, and corkscrews. All of them have a high-tech appearance, and the colors are vivid. In addition to single-player competitions, the game supports simultaneous matches with a split-screen mode. During a race, drivers have the opportunity to engage in combat with one another by utilizing “car-fu” maneuvers such as “tail toss,” “boost bash,” “smackdown,” “roundhouse,” and “torpedo,” amongst others.
