In the vein of River City Ransom, the beat-em-up game Street Boys is played from the third-person perspective. As Jin roams the city and engages in street combat with members of competing gangs, the player assumes control of Jin. He can locate and acquire a wide array of materials and weaponry, pick up objects off the ground and utilize them as makeshift instruments of mayhem. He can also use these abilities simultaneously. The player can wander around an overworld area in between levels. During this time, they can go to stores and interact with other players and characters to gather information.
