Summon Night 4

Another installment in the Summon Night strategy-RPG franchise. You can play as a male or female character who lives happily in a distant village until a magical child falls from the sky and awakens your summoning abilities. The evil empire is after this child and you, so you and your friends must now figure out what happened and escape with your lives. SN4 features different endings and plot threads depending on which character you play as, which magical character you choose to save at the start of the game, as well as what dialogue and combat choices you make at key points. The game employs 2D isometric graphics and alternates between a world map/town mode in which you talk to NPCs to advance the plot and obtain items and a turn-based combat mode in which you position your party on a tile-based map and attempt to defeat your opponents in strategic combat. A new addition to the sequel is a cooking module in which you combine various ingredients to create magical dishes that boost your stats or grant you unique spells. In addition, depending on your dialogue choices and combat performance, supporting characters can now enter the combat area at any time and provide reinforcements, attacks, and aiding items to your party, even if they cannot join your party.
