You take on the role of Senel Coolidge, a young guy with white hair who feels a strong connection to his sister Shirley. When the two were out on the water one day, they suddenly came across what appeared to be a massive continent. It turned out to be a massive ship known as Legacy, which was a relic from an ancient civilization. Shirley comes to the realization that there must be some sort of link between the culture of this new world and herself as she and Senel continue their exploration of the civilization of the new world. However, not long after that, Shirley is kidnapped, and Senel makes a solemn oath that she will find her and solve the mystery of the new world.
The combat, just like in all of the other “Tales Of…” games, is fought fully in real-time and takes place on a flat, two-dimensional plane. You will only have manual control over a single member in your group; the others will carry out their activities automatically in accordance with the strategy you have chosen. It is possible to mix multiple attacks in order to learn new ones, and it is also possible to cook up new products by employing recipes. Both of these things are achievable.
