A conflict is on the horizon. Tenrai is now compiling an army consisting entirely of ninjas and dark lords. His objective is straightforward: to subjugate Japan. You are the only one who can prevent him from accomplishing his perilous objective.
You take on the role of Rikimaru, a stealthy assassin ninja who operates throughout the 16th century. Rikimaru has returned from an alternate time and location having gained the ability to control his shadow, providing him with an additional advantage in his mission to track down and eliminate those who plot against Japan.
You must seek your way through a series of missions using Rikimaru’s stealth skills in order to complete quests as either Rikimaru or his accomplice Ayame. You will find that several weapons and tools, such as the bow and arrow and the nimble ninja sword, will be of assistance to you on your mission.
In addition, a two-player co-op option and a deathmatch mode are both available in Tenchu.
