The narrative of The Jungle Book Groove Party is inspired by the film adaptation of the same name and takes place during Mowgli’s journey to the Man Village and the encounters he has along the route with the other animals. The gameplay is similar to Dancing Dance Revolution’s, albeit with some essential modifications. Players can use either a traditional controller or a dance pad to engage in the action. The top of the screen is covered with arrows, and the player’s goal is to step on the right hand at the right time while the music is playing. The fruit displayed at the top of the screen will become yellow and disappear if a hand is not there, and the game will end if all of the fruit is destroyed. Entering input commands in the spaces between the hands will activate the respective power-ups. They can range from generous benefits like point multipliers or arrows that clear themselves automatically to offensive items that make the opponent’s life more difficult by blocking their line of sight. Mowgli travels through nine stages in the story mode, including two levels with bosses. The game also allows two players to compete against one another in a fight. This model is referred to as the “two-player mode.”
