The King of Fighters ’94 Re-Bout

This updated version of the fighting game from 1994 features high-definition images, which result in a King of Fighters experience that is noticeably more visually appealing. The game’s backdrops are now rendered in 3D, but if players choose, they can be reverted to the game’s original 2D art if they so choose (the 2D versions run in the same resolution as the arcade version, unfortunately). Online play is made possible here for the first time in the series thanks to KDDI’s Multi Matching BB service. This marks the first time the series has attempted to incorporate web-based gameplay. FFor players to use this feature, they were forced to pay KDDI a monthly fee of 945 yen (this fee covers other games as well). Gamers cananges to their characters’ color schemes so that toan online persona that is uniquely theirs. Players are also given the ability to edit individual team members within the PS2 version. In addition to that, a few brand-new characters have been included.
