A significant setback has been dealt to the Addis gang, which has held sway over Southtown for a significant amount of time. Duke, the commander of the recently formed Mephistopheles gang, has been credited with the assassination of their boss, Fate. The violence that followed the conflict between the two gangs has left Southtown in ruins. In the midst of all of this mayhem, a new fighting competition has begun, and there have been assertions made that it is being funded by the charity known as the Metatron Foundation. Twenty combatants are ready to take on the challenge.
The venerable King of Fighters series has finally made the transition to 3D with the release of KOF: Maximum Impact – Maniax. There are fourteen recurring characters in the game, including Six additional combatants are also available: Soiree Meira, Alba Meira, Chae Lim, Duke, Lien Neville, and Mignon Beart.
Additionally, Maximum Impact includes four unique game modes, which are as follows:
– Story Mode – This mode allows the player to select a fighter and direct them through a tournament’s worth of battles.
– The Versus Mode allows players to compete against one another in a one-on-one match or a three-on-three team showdown.
– Mission Mode: In this mode, you will seek to unlock extra game features by completing a series of missions, each of which will have it is own distinct objective and setup.
– Time Attack Mode pits you against the clock as you compete against a series of opponents in a race to the finish.
