You take control of the Fellowship as they follow a path of evil to the steps of Mount Doom in order to cast the One ring of Sauron back into the depths of the volcano, which will in turn destroy the evil that lies within it. This game is based on the legendary novels written by the late J.R.R. Tolkien. This first book of a trilogy follows Frodo and the fellowship as they start their trek to Mount Doom, only to discover that what is waiting for them may be more than they can take.
This retelling of the story, in contrast to the film trilogy, contains Tom Bombadil and other characters that were never brought to life on the big screen. Additionally, this version of the story uses several of Tolkien’s songs as riddles throughout the book.
