The Rumble Fish

At the turn of the 21st century, a region that had been ravaged by natural disasters was turned into the site of a lethal fighting tournament called “The Fight for Survival,” which was hosted by the multinational corporation PROBE-NEXUS. Participants in this annual tournament come from all walks of life, represent a wide variety of fighting philosophies, and hail from countries all over the world. Every participant in a fight has their own individual motivations for doing so; some fight for power and fame, others fight for money, and still others fight simply for revenge. The Rumble Fish is a 2D one-on-one fighting game like King of Fighters but with a different style. Both the ability for characters’ armor to be damaged and destroyed, as well as separate gauges for offensive and defensive techniques, are two of the game’s distinctive features that set it apart from similar titles. Standard gameplay modes such as Arcade, Versus, Story, Training, and Survival are all included, in addition to a gallery of unlockable artwork. Sheryl and Hazama, two new playable characters not present in the arcade version, are included in the PS2 release, bringing the total number of playable characters to 12.
