The Suffering: Ties That Bind

Suffering: Ties That Bind combines a disturbing horror atmosphere with action/shooter gameplay like its predecessor. Players can choose between third and first-person perspectives and will shoot a slew of hideous demonic manifestations of evil before the game is over. At critical points in the game, the player can also transform into a monstrous creature, allowing him to engage in intense melee combat. The game includes a morality system that tracks the player’s actions during gameplay, modifies the story as needed, and changes the player’s creature form. Everything from the first The Suffering has been improved and amplified for the sequel. The plot continues from where the first game left off. Torque, a former death row inmate with a mysterious past, is played by the player once more. Torque has returned to his hometown of Baltimore, where he must confront the enigmatic Blackmore, who may or may not have murdered Torque’s family. But it won’t be easy because the hideous creatures from the first game have overrun Baltimore’s streets. Will Torque be able to come to terms with his past?
