The Weakest Link is an interactive recreation of the NBC game show that became famous for the icy, no-nonsense tone of its host, Anne Robinson, and her tagline, “Weakest Link.” “You are the weakest part of the chain. Goodbye!” The actual gameplay is represented with polygon visuals, but Robinson’s participation in the game is accomplished through video clips and voiceovers. To play as themselves, players select one of 24 pre-made characters from a pool that includes everything from a senior in high school who is 17 years old to a retired bank manager who is 66 years old. The rules are identical to those used in the television show, with the following notable exception: On the show, players deliver their responses off the top of their heads, but here you have been provided four different solutions from which to choose. Only the first letter of each answer is shown at the beginning, but after ten seconds, the complete text of the answers is shown. In the Easy mode, the entire passage is presented to the player at all times, whereas in the Junior mode, there are only two possible responses to select from.
