Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon 2 is a video game that takes place in the not-too-distant future and casts the player as a highly trained operator who serves as a member of the notorious military unit from the United States Special Forces, only known as “Ghosts.” The game occurs in North Korea, where an infamous general uses all the humanitarian aid to bolster his soldiers and gain more political influence. It is up to Ghosts to neutralize this threat and bring peace to the region. In the single-player campaign mode, the player assumes the role of the Ghosts and must, throughout 11 distinct and somewhat lengthy missions, face off against the game’s antagonistic general. Moreover, there is a multiplayer mode that may be played either online or off. You and a friend can play through the primary campaign together, or you may take on other players in various game modes ranging from a straightforward deathmatch to games based on teams. Although this series installment introduces the option to adopt a third-person viewpoint, players still have access to the more traditional “Through the eyes” perspective.
