The Ongakukan studio in Japan is responsible for developing and publishing the Train Simulator video game series. Because it was one of the earliest games of its kind released after the series’ debut in 1995, the game holds a notable place in gaming history. With the exception of Railfan: Taiwan High Speed Rail, which has also been translated into Traditional Chinese and English, all of the Train Simulator games are exclusively accessible in Japanese because no versions were licensed for distribution outside of Asia.

Every game features Japanese lines and trains, with the exception of four episodes that take place outside of Japan. These episodes take place in Germany, France, the United States of America, and Taiwan. As a foundation for the simulation, video captured from the driver’s compartment of the train and synchronized with the computer are used.

The final installment of the series to be released on the PlayStation 2 was titled Kyuushuu Shinkansen. It gave you the ability to operate the JR Kyuushuu, which is a Shinkansen, on the following routes: Shin-Yatsushiro – Kagoshima Chuuou, Kumamoto – Minamata, and Kumamoto – Shin-Yatsushiro. Those are the routes.
