Ty returns home after assisting the Bunyip Elder in ridding the Dreamtime of the dangerous Quinkan. But something goes wrong, and Ty finds himself six months later! The Quinkan have invaded Southern Rivers, and to make matters worse, Ty’s previous game’s Bush Rescue team has disbanded! Ty must reunite his team members while preventing the Quinkan from unleashing the enigmatic Quinking, an evil being of supreme power. The third game in the Ty series is Night of the Quinkan. As Ty, players can bite opponents or use their boomerangs for various ranged attacks. Boomerangs can be customized in multiple ways, including changing the chassis (each has special abilities) and adding unique Bunyip Stones. Some stones can be combined with others, allowing players to tailor their attacks to their preferences. Some rocks are obtained as a reward for completing tasks, while others, as well as boomerang chassis, can be purchased from the Rang Shop in exchange for Opals, the game’s currency. Ty 3 brings back the robotic mechs – choose from the Shadow or Extreme Bunyip (your standard mech), the Crabmersible (an oddly shaped submarine), or the Gunyip (a speedy airplane with an assortment of bombs and guns). Ty can even compete in cart races against other characters for extra powerups and opals.
