Vampire Night is a light gun game released in 2000 for video game arcades by Sega’s Wow Entertainment and distributed by Namco. In November 2001, it was ported to the PlayStation 2. Two players can work together to defeat enemies on the screen. A 300-year-old battle between light and dark is about to begin. Michel and Albert are the two vampire hunters representing light, and the vampires represent darkness. The story takes place in an alternate version of 2006 in France, when progress appears stuck in the late 1800s. Michel and Albert save Caroline, a 12-year-old girl who witnessed a couple of villagers being held hostage by the vampire sarcoma. Following the rescue of the villagers and Caroline, the vampire hunters enter the castle to destroy the remaining forces of darkness. Even though the forces of evil created Michel and Albert to kill themselves, they became afraid of death and attempted to stop them. The Hunters are Dhampyrs (half-vampires), as evidenced by their glowing eyes and sunglasses. As the forces of evil are defeated, the Vampire Hunters decide to let the rising sun take their own lives. Caroline pays her respects to the Vampire Hunters at their graves at the end of the game.
