The treacherous Serpent King Orochi shattered time and space in order to carry out his scheme of testing his strength by kidnapping the Dynasty Warriors and the Samurai Warriors. In the end, the heroes were victorious over Orochi and his threatening army. During the time that the dead Orochi is resting in the underworld, a shadowy coalition is formulating a scheme that involves the supernatural in order to bring the Serpent King back to life. In order to put an end to the resurgence of evil, it is now necessary for a fresh band of warriors to collaborate with the most capable individuals from throughout history. The story of Warriors Orochi 2 picks up after the conclusion of the first game in the series. Storylines for the kingdoms of Wu, Wei, and Shu, as well as the Samurai Warriors, can be found in the main “Story” mode of the game, while a new Orochi storyline delves back to the first series of conflicts to reveal some of the Serpent King’s mysteries. The Samurai Warriors can also be found in this mode. The recently added “Dream” mode of the game contains an original narrative that is distinct from that of the “Story” version of the game. The new “Versus” option for two players features four distinct games, one of which is “Tag Team” fights, which put individual fighters against one another in head-to-head fighting that can be extremely dangerous. This new installment features the return of the fan-favorite “Team Battle System,” which gives players the ability to build their own three-person fighting team. At any one time, only one of the three warriors will be actively fighting, while the other two are resting and replenishing their Life Meters and Musou Gauges. A staggering lineup of over 90 playable characters from both franchises, including Samurai Warriors 2 Extreme Legends, as well as new characters from Chinese and Japanese history, can be found in Warriors Orochi 2, which has an impressive roster overall.
