XGIII: Extreme G Racing

The racing video game XGIII: Extreme G Racing is set in the future. Six teams are contesting a championship for racing, and the player can choose to take control of one of the two riders available for each group. The game’s action features are similar to those found in its predecessors. Just like in those games, players’ rivals will attempt to derail the competition, and the character controlled by the player will be able to defend himself with his collection of weapons. In contrast to the previous installments, players cannot acquire weapons by picking them up along the course; instead, they will have to use the money they have earned from completing races to buy them. Each shot with any weapon now depletes the player’s available weapon bar space. The “nitro” boosts available in the previous games have been removed and replaced with a turbo system. Using the increase will cause the player character’s shields to lose some of their energy, so this is another aspect that has been altered.
