Nihon Falcom Company is responsible for developing the action role-playing video game Ys V: Ushinawareta Suna no Miyako Kefin (V?). This game was released for the Super Famicom. The Ys video game series has reached its fifth installment with this release. Ys V was first made available to the public in the year 1995. In 1996, Falcom released a second version of the game on the Super Famicom called Ys V Expert. This version featured a difficulty level that was far greater than the original. Ys V: Lost Kefin, Kingdom of Sand is the name of Taito Corporation’s reimagining of the game Ys V for the PlayStation 2. It was released in 2006. When Adol is exploring new lands, hoping to find more excitement, he hears rumors about a desert city called Kefin that has since been abandoned. He leaves to discover what happened to this old city and examine its disappearance. In Ys V, both the RPG-style statistical features and the overhead view included in most of the series’ earlier entries have been carried over. Like Ys III, there is no auto-attack feature; instead, the player must manually push a button to cause Adol’s sword to swing. In addition to this, Adol can now jump and protect himself with his shield. Ys V also features a new magic system, which requires players to charge up spells by holding a button before they can be cast. This change was made to accommodate the new magic system.
