Master of Monsters is a turn-based strategy game created by Japanese software developer System Soft (now System Soft Alpha) for the MSX and NEC PC8801 later ported to a variety of consoles and PCs including the PC Engine, NEC PC9801, Sega Mega Drive (Genesis), Sega Saturn and Playstation.
There was also a spin-off of the game targeted towards the younger audience titled Masumon Kids, again the game is a turn based strategy tactical game with 2d cartoon graphics. The game is divided into several chapters of the strategy battles. Each event began with a brief chapter (Talk scene), followed by a sortie preparation (Master = summoned by choosing a shop to buy the equipment), and then into the main phase of tactical battle. To pass each mission requires a clear victory.
