Sonic Rivals

Doctor Eggman begins the game by transforming Tails, Amy Rose, Rouge, and Master Emerald into cards using his new device. Sonic and Knuckles arrive on the scene and investigate what has occurred. Knuckles, determined to save Master Emerald, tells Sonic that teamwork is out of the question and that he must first find Eggman. Sonic smirks and says he enjoys a good challenge. Meanwhile, Eggman sends a distress signal to Shadow the Hedgehog. Silver, a mysterious hedgehog from the future, appears unexpectedly. Shadow then pursues Silver. When they meet, Silver tells Shadow that he must first get to Eggman. Following several conflicts, it is revealed that Dr. Eggman is Eggman Nega and that the real Doctor Eggman is captured in a card before the story. Nega is defeated after a final battle with Sonic, Knuckles, Shadow, and Silver, and Silver returns to the future with Eggman Nega, who is trapped inside a card.
