Darkrai, the mysterious Pokémon with the ability to cause nightmares, was revealed to be the culprit after much investigation. But it wasn’t acting independently. A shady researcher in the Qwerty Region wanted to steal the genetic blueprints of Legendary Pokémon so he could create the “Ultimate Pokémon” for personal benefit. He was using Darkrai as a pawn in a far larger game. Even the ancient guardians known as the Regi Trinity had been roused from their rest by the mayhem.
