Ratatouille

Based on Pixar’s Ratatouille. Asobo Studio’s 3D platform game is unique in design, levels, and missions. Gameplay loosely follows the film’s plot. The film’s leading voice cast returns. The player controls Remy, a tasteful rat. Remy pursues his dream of becoming a chef while helping fellow rats find food in Paris at Gusteau’s restaurant. This version has fewer stages and linear progression than the next-generation version, but many locations are the same. Remy can jump and double-jump, swing over poles, balance ropes, crawl on specific walls, and defend himself with tail swipes or spoons as he traverses Paris’ sewers, streets, roofs, restaurant kitchen, and food market. His excellent sense of smell can lead him to the next goal. Remy must hide until the guards leave. Slide through pipes, raft through water currents, and run from Remy’s pursuers at other levels. Remy must pick or peel potatoes in many mini-games. Remy navigates food-themed dream sequences in optional extra missions, and all classes have many trinkets. Most groups can get 100 stars. Batteries, darts, and lightbulbs are group-specific goods. Collecting the same items in a region earns points, which can be spent in Gusteau’s shop to unlock artwork and mini-games in single and multiplayer modes.
