XIII

The player takes control of the main character, who has awoken in the middle of the game with amnesia and must use several different weapons and tools to figure out who he is. Cel-shading is used in XIII, giving the characters and equipment a purposefully comic-book-style appearance. The game also uses onomatopoeic words packed in bubbles for sound effects. For instance, when an RPG explodes, the term “BAAOOOM” appears adjacent to where the explosion occurred.
