At the beginning of this month, Hudson published Cubic Lode Runner, the first game in their brand-new line of inexpensive reimaginings of fan favorites from the past. This revised version of Lode Runner is based on the game’s original version that was released for the NES console. However, this game version is presented in full 3D and includes extra levels and features. Because the game’s mechanics have been redesigned to muse the third dimension, the player can now move freely in all three sizes and dig in all directions simultaneously. Despite what countless previews may have led you to assume, the game is not only a port of the original version available on the NES.
