Dai-2-Ji After the events of Super Robot Taisen Gaiden, the tale continues in the third installment of the Alpha subseries, Super Robot Taisen Alpha. This game picks up a few months after the events of the previous story. The attacks from Neo Zeon and Zentradi have been successfully repulsed, but the Earth continues to face a growing number of new dangers from both within and without.
The gameplay is the typical, turn-based, mission-based strategy that the franchise is famous for. A number of new systems are introduced, such as the redesigned pilot training system that was first introduced in Original Generation, a damage scaling system that takes into account the size of a unit when determining how much damage it takes from attacks, and a new Platoon system that enables groups of units to collaborate and work together. Included in this article are descriptions of new anime series such as Brain Powered, Crossbone Gundam, GaoGaiGar, and Steel Jeeg.
