The music video game Dance Dance Revolution X2 was developed by Konami and published by the company for the PlayStation 2 in North America. DDR X2 was one of the first Dancing Dance Revolution games to use songs from the 2009-10 soundtrack. It was launched on October 27, 2009, with Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party 3, and was one of the first Dance Dance Revolution games overall. It differs from its global predecessor Dance Dance Revolution X in that it has a new master mode, different styles of play, a new soundtrack, and some minor tweaks and enhancements; other than those differences; it is the same. It was the last DDR game available for the PlayStation 2 platform.
