The video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City has a prequel called Vice City Stories (2 years earlier). In this role-playing game set in 1984, players assume the persona of Army Private Vic Vance, who has a deep love for his nation, his family, and himself. Because of one poor choice, his life is turned upside down, and he is forced to survive on the streets of a dangerous city. In order for him to live, he must construct an empire; else, he would perish. The siblings conspire to seize control of Vice City together, with his brother Lance, who is addicted to drugs.
The gameplay is quite similar to that of other Grand Theft Auto games, consisting of third-person shooting and driving scenes in an open setting. You will meet new opponents and gangs, and familiar foes. The objectives demand you to kill using a variety of weapons, steal vehicles such as a car, boat, or plane, rob for the sake of making it big, or rob just to have fun with it. Swimming and additional side missions including Air Rescue, Vigilante, Firefighter, and Paramedic are two of the new additions to the portable version of the game.
This game features a gang war mode called Empire, which is comparable to the one found in San Andreas. It is necessary to acquire the enterprises of competing gangs in order to generate income. You can acquire control of a competitor’s company by bringing it to its knees financially and then putting it up for sale. After you have established a new building, you have the option of engaging in illegal activities such as prostitution, dealing narcotics, operating a protection racket, smuggling illegal goods, committing robberies, or working as a loan shark. These activities generate cash, and the amount of money generated is directly proportional to its position inside the city.
