The video game Monsters vs. Aliens is an adaptation of the computer-animated film of the same name. The player gets to control three different characters from the movie throughout the game, and each of those characters has its own unique set of gameplay elements. The fish-human hybrid known as Missing Link must make it through levels that play out like most licensed games based on animated films, namely as a third-person platformer. The parts of the match involving B.o.B., a slime monster, focus more on puzzle-solving. He can ingest items or enemies and spit them out at other adversaries. These are also used to press switches and as a safety procedure when crossing bars; if BoB did not have anything substantial, he would simply slip through them. In B.o.B., in addition to navigating mazes, the player must complete various shooting sequences. The final character is Gigantika, a woman who stands at the height of 15 meters. She guides the course by jumping over obstacles and competing in quick-time events because she uses trucks instead of inline skates (pressing a displayed button in a limited time). When playing in co-op mode, the secondary player assumes the role of a Dr. Cockroach and provides the primary player with appropriate actions, such as shooting. Numerous pieces of bonus content, such as concept art, cut scenes (or levels), and audio commentaries, can be unlocked by the player throughout the game.
