NASCAR competition is spread among four different series: the Weekly Racing Series, Sponsored by Dodge for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (pickup trucks), NASCAR Featherlite for the open-wheel modified class, and the NASCAR Cup Series for stock cars (what people think of first when they hear NASCAR). In the Career mode, players begin with dirt cars and progress up the ranks depending on how well they do. If they do well enough, they can modify their vehicles. Gamers also have the option to jump into fast-paced action races simply. Damage is reflected in both the appearance and the performance of cars. Participants are permitted to paint their designs on their vehicles, and they may also attach sponsorship banners to increase their winnings.
