This game version is an entirely 3D reimagining of the classic arcade version of Golden Axe, first released in 1989. The gameplay is much the same as it was previously, but there are now cutscenes, magic that regenerates slightly after an enemy is killed, and enemies now have health bars. In addition to that, it features an orchestrated sound track.
