Joseph was an ordinary young boy who lived in the community of Ciran. One day, a shadowy figure presented him with a mystical ring that was endowed with the ability to call forth demons. Joseph tried to use the ring to defend the village of Ciran when it was assaulted by raiders; however, he was unable to control the ring’s power, and the demon ravaged the town. Joseph made a solemn oath that he would never put the ring to use again. But then soldiers from Orenia, a continent governed by Emperor Murod, attacked the town that Joseph had settled in, hunting for a kid born with the mark of a Summoner. This caused things to alter. As soon as Joseph understands that the Emperor must be stopped at whatever cost, he is forced to depart and look for allies to help him.

Summoner is a 3D role-playing game with a tale that is driven by a linear plot progression and random encounters with enemies. The game is partially influenced by the Japanese version of the role-playing genre. The player assumes control of a party of characters that the story forces them to associate with the main protagonist. Combat unfolds in real-time, and the player has active control over just one of their characters at any given time. It is possible to issue general directions to the others concerning their use of spells, close-quarters or long-range attacks, etc. If the player presses a key at the appropriate time, the character being controlled will be able to carry out combo sequences. Joseph will eventually acquire the ability to call upon mighty creatures to aid the group in combat at some point during the course of the game. In addition to the main quest, players can participate in optional quests and improve their characters based on their skills.
