An old prophecy foretells that the kind protector of the Pupanunu people, the Moon Juju, will be weakened by the evil Tlaloc, an embittered Pupanunu shaman so that he can turn the Pupanunu people into sheep as a form of revenge for not being made high shaman in favor of another shaman named Jibolba. The prophesy also speaks of a great and mighty warrior who would vanquish Tlaloc, establish peace to the Pupanunu people, and restore the Moon Juju. Jibolba believes that his pupil Lok is the warrior of the prophecy, and he is preparing to send him to go. But, it appears that Lok has been transformed into a sheep. Jibolba was able to escape the spell cast by Tlaloc. Jibolba entrusts his younger apprentice, Tak (voiced by Jason Marsden), with the mission of locating magical plants that can transform him back, even though it is not actually Lok. While Jibolba searches for Lok, he instructs Tak to collect the Spirit Rattle and bring it back to him. This item allows the user to connect with powerful Juju spirits that can help them. When Tak finally arrives with the Rattle, he discovers that Lok was killed when a flock of sheep ran him over. Jibolba gives Tak the mission of gathering one hundred magical Yorbels and Lok’s spirit from the spirit world so that he might successfully restore Lok. The resurrection, however, comes with the unintended consequence of a nasty bout of diarrhea. As Lok is resting, Tak is successful in acquiring the Moon Stones, which allows the Moon Juju to regain its full power. It is revealed by the Moon Juju that the warrior of the prophesy is not Lok but rather Tak, because Tak has already done practically everything that was promised by the prophecy. Tak can finally fulfill the prophecy by vanquishing Tlaloc with the help of his extensive collection of Juju spells and transforming him into a sheep.
