Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 is the fourth installment in the series of skating video games published by Activision.

The reworked career mode in this game is the most notable aspect of the overall package. When you first start a new level, you do not have any goals or time constraints to worry about, so you are free to just skate around, perform tricks, and get a feel for the level. You have all the time in the world to do this. Find a professional skater, have a conversation with him, and then you will be given the objective, just like in Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX, when you are ready to tackle one of the goals. The objectives of this game are comparable to those of its predecessors, such as accumulating SKATE, scoring a predetermined number of points, grinding this, and transferring over that. New objectives have been added, such as accumulating the word “COMBO” when doing a particularly impressive combo. If you don’t hit a trick, the goal won’t be reached. Once you have completed all of the standard goals, you are eligible to tackle the Pro Goal, which is unique to each skater and is an exceedingly difficult challenge.

Tony Hawk, Bob Burnquist, Steve Caballero, Kareem Campbell, Rune Gilfberg, Eric Koston, Bucky Lasek, Bam Margera, Rodney Mullen, Chad Muska, Andrew Reynolds, Geoff Rowley, Elissa Steamer, and Jamie Thomas are all present at this competition.

The levels have increased in size and are now enormous. The iconic prison complex of Alcatraz is featured as one of the levels, along with a college campus and a shipyard.

Graffiti and Trick Attack, Horse, and King of the Hill are just some of the fan-favorite modes that have been brought back for the multiplayer component. Both “Capture the Flag” and “Combo Mambo” are now available as new game modes. Additionally, the PlayStation 4 supports play through System Link, but not through Xbox Live.

You can play the game online with the PlayStation 2 version using either your own network adaptor or the one that is provided by the manufacturer. This feature is available in both versions of the game. Additionally, the PS2 version includes a one-level demo of Shaun Murray’s Pro Wakeboarder, which is not included in any other version of the game. This demo is exclusive to the PS2 version.
