Pro Evolution Soccer 6 enters the 2006/2007 season with an updated club and national players roster. Some new clubs have been given their proper names (for example, Manchester United instead of Man Red), while others have lost them (such as Chelsea, now London FC). Despite the names, the players are correct, as Chelsea has Ballack and Schevchenko, Real Madrid now has Van Nistelrooy, who was previously with Manchester United, and so on. The controls remain the same, but the moves and strategies have changed as they do from game to game. Fouls are not as easy to commit as they were in the previous game, but player turning is now too slow unless you know how to do it correctly. Moves are much more realistic, and goalkeepers do not catch every ball with ease; even easy ones can occasionally slip through. However, it brings us closer to reality while losing the reality factor on other fronts. Cameras are standard broadcast, tower, and bird-perspective, with cups, league, and master league remaining. Because the PC version converts the PS2 engine, the Xbox 360 version is the only one with high-definition graphics and more animations. However, the 360 version lacks a few features, including cooperative play, the PES shop, a replay save feature, and some minor settings, such as the ability to create players, rename leagues, edit kits, team names, boots, and player appearances, as well as the ability to swap kit combinations.
