Electronic Arts and EA Sports developed and published FIFA Football 2003, known as FIFA Soccer 2003, in North America and released in 2002. FIFA 2003 is the tenth FIFA game and the seventh 3D game. Many features were added to improve the previous version. Club Championship Mode lets players play against 17 of Europe’s biggest teams in their stadiums with fans chanting. Halftime and full-time highlights and analysis are broadcast on TV. EA Sport’s “Freestyle Control” lets players flick the ball and pass it to teammates. Thierry Henry and Ronaldinho’s likenesses and player responses were also improved. Edgar Davids, Roberto Carlos, and Ryan Giggs appear on the European cover. American Landon Donovan played Roberto Carlos.
