Pickle is sent to jail after oversleeping and misses the coming-of-age ceremony he was supposed to attend. While in prison, he is informed that he must pay back the 5 million Mane that the ceremony cost. This is done so that another can be held, which is necessary for Pockle to reach adulthood and is why this action is taken.
