The video game known as NBA 2K2 is a basketball simulation. It is the third video game in the NBA 2K series, created by Visual Concepts and published by Sega Sports. Visual Concepts was the developer, and Sega Sports was the publisher. It was first made available for the Sega Dreamcast on October 24, 2001. In 2002, it was converted for use on the Sony PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube, and Xbox. Additional street courts were available in NBA 2K2, including Mosswood, Fonde Rec Center, Venice Beach, and others. The game continued to include the classic street courts from its predecessor, NBA 2K1, which was also featured in the game. It was the last NBA 2K game to be available for the Sega Dreamcast and the first game in the series to be released on multiple platforms simultaneously. The athlete seen on the cover is Allen Iverson.
