The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age

The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age introduces characters not seen in films or novels. Gandalf, Aragorn, Eowyn, Faramir, and Gothmog make cameos in the game, which feature seven playable characters. All of these characters are game-specific. The game covers all three movies and books, focusing on cut scenes and narration by Ian McKellan. Final Fantasy and The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age share gameplay elements. In both games, you control a party of characters with unique abilities and traits, who level up and become stronger as you play. The player has time between turns to consider their actions and how they might affect the fight. The game visits Tolkien’s Middle Earth’s Pelennor Fields and Moria, among other places.
