Rainbow was a military operation launched in response to South American terrorist attacks on US interests. Saudi-backed Islamic terrorists committed these attacks. However, Venezuela’s new president, Juan Crespo, masterminded the attacks. Crespo capitalized on the panic caused by the terrorist attacks he staged to win the election. Crespo plans to discredit Saudi Arabia, then cut off Venezuela’s oil supply to the US, causing an oil crisis and raising oil prices, which he would then sell to the US on the black market at inflated prices. Crespo wants to discredit Saudi Arabia and cut Venezuela’s US oil supply. Rainbow defeats President Crespo and assassinates him. Rainbow arranged for international media to report that terrorists killed Crespo.
